There are days where you consistently get home late from work, where there is no time to head to the gym. But fitness is so important to leading a healthy balanced life. For women who have demanding work schedules, have some hope. You can find hoped in the “virtual gym”.

What is a virtual gym?

It is live, real time fitness class hosted through an online platform. So forget about dragging yourself to a crowded fitness class. Select a class/instructor that’s currently hosting sessions and join in. Virtual gym’s fit into your schedule.

Is it just exercising at home? What’s the different between doing this and just finding a workout video on YouTube?

It’s different from a YouTube video because you have an online community. The community is for support and interaction through Facebook. They make it competitive. They offer Full-length workouts. The workouts feel like a real class versus 3-minute videos, again, much different from YouTube.

  1. I need to check this out! As a stay at home mom with a 19-month-old, it is hard to find time to go out for a run or go to a Jazzercise or yoga class like I used to.

    1. Thanks for taking the time to read my post LeNae! I’m not a mom yet but I also have a hard time going out to a fitness class… I do a few workouts and stretches via youtube, but I set a reminder on my phone to remind myself to actually work out!…lol
